The furnishing of room service is defined as the manual delivery of food and/or beverages on a tray, serving cart or table, at the order of a registered hotel guest, from a bar or kitchen of the licensed hotel by a waiter, waitress or other hotel employee performing the same function, to the room occupied by said guest, which food or beverages are to be consumed in the hotel room occupied by such guest. Nothing in this Part shall permit the sale of alcoholic beverages by vending machines or other mechanical devices.

No wholesaler shall sell to any hotel licensee, and no hotel licensee shall purchase, any container exceeding one-half gallon of liquor or more than 15 gallons of wine, or any container of less than 25 ounces of liquor or six ounces of wine, except that containers of liquor containing two ounces or less may be sold to and purchased by hotel licensees exclusively for delivery in the furnishing of room service.
