Coverage, privacy, and current upload limits
Coverage. For Illinois practice, LawEngine checks Illinois statutes and court rules, plus shared federal primary law: the U.S. Constitution, U.S. Code, CFR/eCFR, federal rules, and available shared federal court rules. When a cited judicial opinion resolves in LawEngine's covered corpus, it can also check whether quoted text appears in that stored opinion. A stored-opinion match confirms the text appears in that corpus. It does not by itself confirm the court's official source, page or pinpoint, legal proposition, current validity, or good-law status. If LawEngine cannot match or process material, it is shown for your review rather than reported as a negative finding.
Private retention. LawEngine stores the uploaded file, extracted text, audit metadata, and assessment indefinitely in private storage for audit, dispute verification, and product improvement. The files are not public and are accessible only through authorized LawEngine application and service-role paths. LawEngine records safe aggregate product analytics, but no filename, uploaded text, quotation, citation text, or other document-derived content is sent to analytics or marketing tools. Do not upload personal information, patient health information, privileged material, or highly confidential material unless you are authorized to share it.
