A three-month FOIL fight over the exclusive-publisher contract behind the NYCRR. The State pays the publisher nothing, the public pays the publisher for the official text of its own law, and the price the public pays was redacted as a trade secret — a number the same production lets you reconstruct to the penny. All 312 pages of records, and everything I filed, attached.
