Search is built around authorities lawyers cite in state-practice and federal workflows. The current public-facing source map is:

  • Illinois statewide lawILCS, the Illinois Constitution, Illinois Supreme Court Rules, Illinois Rules of Evidence, and First District appellate local rules.Covered primary-law excerpts are checked against source records; case-law quote checking is not a current public claim.
  • Illinois appellate rulesAll five Illinois Appellate District rule sets, the 2nd-5th Uniform Appellate Rules, the First District Local Order, and the Workers' Compensation Commission Division Administrative Order are available for Illinois search/read workflows.First District rules have deeper source-check support; the other appellate-rule surfaces are search/read support.
  • Illinois federal venuesN.D. Ill., C.D. Ill., and S.D. Ill. Local Rules are available in Illinois-practice workflows, alongside Seventh Circuit and U.S. Supreme Court authority. These local-rule surfaces are Illinois-practice-only; they are not broad federal/default-profile claims.
  • Cook and collar countiesCircuit Court of Cook County Rules plus Kane, McHenry, DuPage, and Lake County circuit-court local rules are available in Illinois-practice search and source-check workflows.County rules stay venue-specific. Will County is excluded. Lake carries a reduced-authority electronic-copy caveat.
  • Illinois regulations and local lawCompiled-online Illinois Administrative Code receipts can appear for exact IAC, explicit IAC source, or Illinois regulation-intent questions. Chicago Municipal Code support is scoped to exact Chicago code and Chicago-local questions.IAC is compiled-online source evidence, not official/certified IAC. Chicago local law is not statewide Illinois law.
  • Illinois provenanceOfficial-source Public Act, source-law, bill status/action, sponsor, synopsis, document, and statute-reference evidence can appear when source records support the answer.Bill and Public Act evidence shows official-source ILGA status and provenance records; current operative law is shown separately when available.
  • Case-law researchIllinois Supreme Court and Appellate opinions, Illinois federal district opinions, Seventh Circuit, U.S. Supreme Court, federal circuit opinions, and selected source-record case references are used as research context.Case citations are source-record grounded; case-law quote verification is not shipped.
  • Shared federal primary lawU.S. Code, current eCFR/CFR, the U.S. Constitution, FRCP, FRE, FRAP, FRCrP, FRBP, U.S. Supreme Court Rules, and Seventh Circuit Rules are available across active practice profiles.Federal district-court semantic coverage remains incomplete; rare-caption lookup may surface targeted district cases.
  • New York primary lawNYLAW statutes and court acts, the New York Constitution, NYC Charter, NYC Administrative Code, New York Court of Appeals and Appellate Division opinions, Second Circuit and New York federal district opinions, and NY Unified Court System rule text are available in New York mode where supported.New York court-rule text is search/read support; New York depth is not Illinois-depth parity.
  • New York regulationsNYCRR can appear for exact NYCRR citations, explicit NYCRR source requests, and New York regulation/admin-rule questions with State Register activity receipts.NYCRR is source-limited research support, not official NYCRR and not quote verification.

Linked authorities and excerpts appear when the answer includes source records. More jurisdictions and source families are added as source checks clear.
