The director of the division shall appoint one of the members of the Independent Review Board to serve as its chairperson. The member so appointed shall serve as chairperson for a renewable term of one year. The chairperson of the board shall:
(a)be responsible for coordinating the activities of the board, with the assistance of the ombudsman director;
(b)preside at meetings of the board;
(c)recommend to the director of the division agenda items for board meetings; and
(d)make recommendations to the director of the division for the removal of inactive board members.
