Unless otherwise required by article 6 of the Energy Law, any filing deadline, method of filing, number of copies, page limitation, or any other requirement of this Chapter may be waived by the chair, or by the hearing officer if appointed by the board, for the purpose of promoting the fair, orderly and efficient conduct of these proceedings. A motion (which may be in the form of a letter) under this section shall be made to the secretary in a timely manner and shall clearly state the requirement sought to be waived and the reasons therefor. In addition, a motion to waive any requirement of Subchapter C of this Chapter shall be made no less than 15 days prior to the time submission would otherwise be required.
