Definitions.
The following definition shall apply to the Win 4 game, in addition to the general definitions set forth in section 5000.2 of this Title:
(a)Back pair means a type of play that results in a winning play when the selected numbers match the Win 4 winning numbers in exact order from field 3 and field 4 only.
(b)Box means a type of play that results in a winning play when the selected numbers match the Win 4 winning numbers in any order.
(c)Combination means a type of play that creates multiple straight plays on one bet ticket.
(d)Win 4 winning numbers means one number from field 1, one number from field 2, one number from field 3, and one number from field 4, randomly selected at each Win 4 drawing, which shall be used to determine winning Win 4 plays shown on a bet ticket.
(e)Front pair means a type of play that results in a winning play when the selected numbers match the Win 4 winning numbers in exact order from field 1 and field 2 only.
(f)Straight means a type of play that results in a winning play when the selected numbers match the Win 4 winning numbers in exact order.

Game description.
Win 4 is a game that awards prizes to Win 4 bet-ticket holders matching specified combinations of numbers for designated drawing dates and drawing times to randomly selected numbers from corresponding drawings. A player selects a permutation or segment of a four-digit number from 0000 through 9999. During each Win 4 drawing, four Win 4 numbers are selected from four fields of numbers, each one comprising the numbers 0 through 9, in the following manner: The first winning number is selected from field 1, the second winning number is selected from field 2, the third winning number is selected from field 3, the fourth winning number is selected from field 4. Win 4 winning numbers shall be selected at random with the aid of drawing equipment, pursuant to the controls and methods established for the game.

Price and types of plays.
(a)Price. The price of a single play shall be a minimum of 50 cents and in multiples thereof to a maximum of $10. A Win 4 bet ticket may contain multiple plays and may cover multiple drawings. The cost of a Win 4 bet ticket depends on the types of plays and number of drawings the purchaser selects.
(b)Types of plays. The following types of plays may be made available for purchase:
(1)Straight. A four-digit number (for example, “1234”) designed to match in exact order the Win 4 winning numbers for a specified drawing.
(2)Twenty-four-way box. A four-digit number in which all four digits are unique (for example, “1234”), designed to match in any order the Win 4 winning numbers for a specified drawing.
(3)Twelve-way box. A four-digit number in which two of the digits are the same (for example, “1233”), designed to match in any order the Win 4 winning numbers for a specified drawing.
(4)Six-way box. A four-digit number in which there are two pairs of identical numbers (for example, “1122”), designed to match in any order the Win 4 winning numbers for a specified drawing.
(5)Four-way box. A four-digit number in which three of the digits are the same (for example, “1112”), designed to match in any order the Win 4 winning numbers for a specified drawing.
(6)Front pair. A two-digit number chosen to match in exact order the numbers drawn from field 1 and field 2 from the Win 4 winning numbers for a specified drawing.
(7)Back pair. A two-digit number chosen to match in exact order the numbers drawn from field 3 and field 4 from the Win 4 winning numbers for a specified drawing.
(8)Straight/twenty-four-way box. A four-digit number in which all four digits are unique (for example, “1234”) that provides the purchaser with one straight play and one 24-way box play. The minimum cost of a straight/box play is $1 (two plays x $ .50 minimum play).
(9)Straight/twelve-way box. A four-digit number in which two of the digits are the same (for example, “1233”) that provides the purchaser with one straight play and one 12-way box play. The minimum cost of a straight/twelve-way box play is $1 (two plays x $ .50 minimum play).
(10)Straight/six-way box. A four-digit number in which there are two pairs of identical digits (for example, “1122”) that provides the purchaser with one straight play and one six-way box play. The minimum cost of a straight/six-way box play is $1 (two plays x $ .50 minimum play).
(11)Straight/four-way box. A four-digit number in which three of the digits are the same (for example, “1112”) that provides the purchaser with one straight play and one four-way box play. The minimum cost of a straight/four-way box play is $1 (two plays x $ .50 minimum play).
(12)Twenty-four-way combination. A four-digit number in which all four digits are unique (for example, “1234”) that provides the purchaser with all 24 combinations of the four-digit number as straight plays, with any one four-digit number combination matching in exact order the Win 4 winning numbers for a specified drawing. The minimum cost of a 24-way combination play is $12 (24 plays x $ .50 minimum play).
(13)Twelve-way combination. A four-digit number in which two of the digits are the same (for example, “1233”) that provides the purchaser with all 12 combinations of the four-digit number as straight plays, with any one four-digit number combination matching in exact order the Win 4 winning numbers for a specified drawing. The minimum cost of a 12-way combination wager is $6 (12 plays x $ .50 minimum play).
(14)Six-way combination. A four-digit number in which there are two pairs of identical digits (for example, “1122”) that provides the purchaser with all six combinations of the four-digit number as straight plays, with any one four-digit number combination matching in exact order the Win 4 winning numbers for a specified drawing. The minimum cost of a six-way combination wager is $3 (six plays x $ .50 minimum play).
(15)Four-way combination. A four-digit number in which three of the digits are the same (for example, “1112”) that provides the purchaser with all four combinations of the four-digit number as straight plays, with any one four-digit number combination matching in exact order the Win 4 winning numbers for a specified drawing. The minimum cost of a four-way combination wager is $2 (four plays x $ .50 minimum play).
(c)Ticket cancellation. A bet ticket may be cancelled at the request of the purchaser at the computer terminal that produced such bet ticket, so long as such cancellation is effected within 45 minutes of the time such bet ticket was issued or prior to the draw close, whichever occurs first.
(d)Suspension of play on numbers and combinations. The commission reserves the right at any time, in the commission’s sole discretion, to suspend play on any number or numbers or to limit the number of bets made on any number or numbers or combination or combinations.
