A company performing rehabilitation or home improvement activities or new construction under the low income housing trust fund program or the affordable home ownership development program shall receive assistance equal to three percent of the amount payable to such company by the housing trust fund corporation of the affordable housing corporation. This assistance shall be for administrative or new construction. It shall not be subject to the limitation on the amount of funds a company may receive annually or in the aggregate under the rural preservation companies program, but shall be limited to a maximum of $40,000 for each project under the low income housing trust fund program or the affordable home ownership development program.

Housing preservation and community renewal activities which are or have been funded under the rural aging services program operated jointly by the Division of the Office for the Aging shall not be subject to the limitations on the amount of funds a company may receive annually or in the aggregate under the rural preservation companies program.

A company assisting persons of low income in the acquisition and financing of one- to four-unit family homes and the maintenance and repair of such housing owned by persons of low income under the rural home ownership assistance program shall not be subject to the limitation on the amount of funds a company may receive annually or in the aggregate under the rural preservation companies program, but shall be limited to a maximum of $30,000 for each company entering into a contract under the rural home ownership assistance program.
